Hamid Amiri received PhD in Chemical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in 2014 where he studied the development of processes for production of biobutanol as an advanced biofuel. He joined Faculty of Advanced Sciences and Technologies at the University of Isfahan in 2014 as an Assistant Professor. His research focus on breaking the chemical and engineering barriers to lignocellulosic biofuels and biochemicals and other environmental processes. He also used a biphasic reactor for conversion of lignocellulosic wastes to Furan derivatives, i.e., HMF and furfural, as his MS thesis in Chemical Engineering (2009).
